About the History
15th century · Provencal mas (farmhouse) with chateau-like interiors
The foundations of the Mas date back to the end of the 15th century. Typically Provencal in exterior and facade, it takes on the appearance of a small chateau thanks to its sumptuous interiors. The property features canals conceived and created in the 16th century by Adam de Craponne, funded by Nostradamus, which brought water from the Alps via the Durance. The current owners, Eve and Sebastien, returned from 8 years as expatriates in New York and renovated the building using French heritage craftsmen to preserve the soul of the place. The furniture is the fruit of more than 50 years of passionate multi-generational research, creating a unique collection.
