A White and Blue Editorial at Chateau Trieux near Bordeaux

Château Trieux, a magnificent 16th century chateau 1.5hrs from Bordeaux stands as a testament to French history and understated beauty. Just 90 minutes from Bordeaux, this 16th-century château became the stage for a wedding editorial that married heritage with modern artistry. Under the creative direction and photography of Michael Mann, the story unfolded in a palette of soft blue, stone, and silver where weathered walls met contemporary design, and the spirit of old France found new expression. His imagery revealed a unique destination wedding in south west France setting that felt both anchored in history and alive with the energy of modern romance, each frame carrying a quiet dialogue between past and present.

The styling, curated by Michael Mann, one of the leading wedding photographers in Bordeaux, reimagined l’art de la table the French art of entertaining through a contemporary lens. Blue hydrangeas served as the focal point of the floral design, their rich tone adding depth and emotion to each image. Traditional toile de Jouy tablecloths layered with fine French china, silver cutlery, and crisp blue napkins spoke to craftsmanship and heritage. As daylight faded, candles glowed across the courtyard, illuminating every thoughtfully placed detail. Together, the textures, tones, and architecture told a cohesive story: one that celebrated French elegance while embracing a modern sensibility. The result was a tableau of authenticity and artistry proof that even the oldest stones can speak beautifully to a new generation of love stories.
