French-American Fusion Wedding at Chateau des Barrenques near Toulouse
In the heart of Provence, Nina and Thomas celebrated a brilliant fusion of cultures at Chateau des Barrenques, a fully privatizable wedding estate surrounded with lavender fields in Provence. Choosing early July for their celebration, the couple timed their nuptials to coincide with both peak lavender season and the 249th anniversary of the USA’s independence. Nina, a whimsical creative and musician, and Thomas, a steady realist, hosted their guests for a multi-day outdoor event that captured the true soul of the region. From a festive July 4th pool party and an outdoor screening of Notting Hill to a formal ceremony beneath the summer sun, Chateau des Barrenques, provided a sprawling, sun-drenched backdrop.

Bespoke Design and Global Fashion by Rime Arodaky
The design of the day was centered on a palette of “French Blue,” featuring handmade signage and stationery created by Nina’s aunt, Geri Zarate. Nina’s fashion choices were a sophisticated nod to her life in France. For her primary look, she chose a stunning Rime Arodaky gown, a burst of satin featuring hand-drawn floral designs. She also incorporated traditional Philippine Piña fabric a delicate cloth made from pineapple leaves from designer Vania Romoff. The floral installations by Bloomday fleuriste mirrored this global mix, blending exotic orchids and lilies with locally sourced hydrangeas. The ceremony itself was a deeply personal affair, officiated by friends and family. Nina’s bridesmaids reenacted the couple’s love story, while the groom’s party personalized French classics to honor the pair, creating an atmosphere that was both intimate and creatively vibrant.
A Joyful Celebration Captured by Sabine Legrand
As a professional musician, Nina ensured the guest experience was centered on sound and celebration. She composed the original song for her walk down the aisle and even curated a custom mix for the couple’s first dance. Before dessert, she surprised Thomas with a half-French, half-English rendition of “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You,” a moment of pure whimsical joy that delighted their guests. The culinary journey was equally diverse, ranging from July 4th burger food trucks to a formal sit-down dinner by Maison Nans. Every emotive glance and candid interaction was documented by Sabine Legrand, a professional photographer in Provence, whose editorial, journalist-style approach captured the intimacy between the couple and the vibrant energy of their guests. The combination of personal performances, unique cultural tributes, and the breathtaking Provençal landscape made this wedding a truly elevated and unforgettable experience.
