A Fresh Eye Wedding at Château du Prieuré d'Evecquemont in Paris

Just beyond Paris, Château du Prieuré d’Évecquemont with it’s its sumptuous rooms, refined outbuildings and reception room stood quietly amid the French countryside, its ivy-clad façade and soft golden light setting the scene for a wedding editorial that felt timeless yet new. The creative team envisioned a celebration rooted in history but expressed through a modern lens a story of balance between structure and softness, between vintage sentiment and present-day style. Every element, from the venue’s antique mirrors to its open terraces, echoed this idea of contrast, transforming this secluded neoclassical estate, 40 km from Paris into a poetic space where old-world romance met understated contemporary grace.

The Bride’s Dual Looks and a Palette of Refined Warmth

The morning began in the château’s Blue Room, a serene space where the bride prepared surrounded by powder-blue walls and quiet natural light. Her first look, a structured silk gown by The Cadess, embodied minimal modern elegance, while her second a romantic vintage dress from Retrome Wedding Dresses brought fluidity and texture to the afternoon. Her ensemble was completed with sheer gloves, bold earrings, and soft, natural makeup by Alesia Solo. The groom’s cream jacket and tailored trousers by Herse 1868 matched the editorial’s refined ease. Florals by Tonight CS introduced gentle hues of blush, toffee, and warm neutrals, spilling organically down the steps and across the long dining table styled with lace, fruit, and antique silver.

Captured in Layers of Light by Symphony of Light

Photographer Alex Vaidean of Symphony of Light documented the day using a mix of digital, 35mm, and medium format film, creating a narrative that felt textural and authentic. His images balanced clarity and emotion, giving equal weight to elegance and imperfection. With the wedding planning and styling by Nikita Zharkov and Irena Balashko, and one of Europe’s best destination wedding photographers Alex and Dari Zaries, the creative direction brought intimacy and artistry to every frame. Each image carried the quiet hum of French summer light and the sincerity of a love story told with restraint. The editorial at Château du Prieuré d’Évecquemont became a study in modern grace proof that elegance can whisper and still be unforgettable.
