Mystical Woodland Wedding Styled Shoot

In the heart of Auvergne, photographer Ambre Peyrotty of Zephyr & Luna brought to life a mystical woodland wedding inspired by the French Alps. Created as part of her photography workshop The Roots, the concept explored intimacy, texture, and natural rhythm within a forest setting. With no planner available after a last-minute cancellation, Ambre designed and coordinated the entire shoot herself, turning her personal vision of a forest wedding location with rustic charm into reality. Surrounded by tall trees and soft earth tones, she worked with an ensemble of trusted creatives to stage a setting that felt both raw and cinematic, blending nature’s depth with handmade detail.

The forest dictated the palette: deep greens, warm browns, and soft candlelight. Couture gowns from designer Cathy Telle added movement and romance, their fabric catching in the filtered woodland light. Florals were arranged to appear as if they had grown naturally from the ground, enhancing the sense of immersion. While the team captured portraits among moss and roots, decorators transformed a hidden glade into a surprise dining scene illuminated by hundreds of small lights. When the group returned, they found a table glowing under the canopy an unplanned moment that turned into the heart of the shoot, where everyone gathered to dine and celebrate outdoors.
