A Modern Pastel Dream Wedding at Château de Clermont-Tonnerre

In the countryside near Amiens, Sondra and Edouard celebrated a Franco-American love story at Château de Clermont-Tonnerre,a historic castle in Bertangles, Somme. Sondra, an American bride from Oklahoma with Algerian roots, and her French fiancé wanted a wedding that felt like a romantic daydream elegant, feminine, and unmistakably French. Drawing inspiration from the grace of Marie-Antoinette, they reimagined 18th-century opulence through a modern lens. Their color palette - powder blue, blush pink, pale tangerine, and buttery yellow - washed through every detail like a watercolor painting, creating a setting that was both regal and full of warmth.

Ceremony and Style in the Château Gardens

The ceremony unfolded in the château’s park beneath a grounded floral arch that looked as if it had grown from the earth itself. Blooms trailed naturally in soft hues that mirrored the pastel sky. Sondra wore a lace gown with contemporary structure, her look a balance of timeless grace and modern confidence. Edouard stood beside her in a deep green tailored suit, the contrast between them striking against the greenery. Guests watched quietly as vows turned emotional and personal, each word spoken with sincerity. The gardens, touched by golden light, framed the moment perfectly before everyone moved indoors for dinner beneath the château’s gold moldings and mirrored walls.

The celebration came together under the direction of Plan’On Event, one of Northern France’s most trusted wedding planners, who ensured the day flowed with elegance and ease. Florist À l’Ombre des Bleuets shaped the color story through organic arrangements that echoed the couple’s palette. Rêveries et Bois provided vintage tables and accents, grounding the grandeur with texture and charm. Gourmet Réception curated a refined menu that honored local flavors, while Crémence’s three-tiered cake adorned with sugar flowers stood as a centerpiece of craftsmanship. The day began with custom stationery by Ladüm Papeterie and ended with music by Bazka Boy, filling the château with energy.
