Bathed in the gentle scent of lavender and golden light, Liza and Eugene’s elopement in Provence embodied intimacy and beauty in its purest form. The Russian couple chose the lavender fields of Lagarde-d’Apt, along the famous Route de la Lavande, to exchange vows during their honeymoon in France. With Mariage Parisien orchestrating every detail, the scene felt effortless: nature as décor, Provence as witness. Marina Millepied’s photography followed them from quiet preparations at La Villa Augustine in Apt - a 1912 villa rich with history - to the rolling fields at sunset. Every frame caught the serenity of the South of France, perfumed by lavender and love.

Design Notes: Lavender, Linen, and Sunset Light

The couple’s vision was minimal yet sensory, letting Provence lead the design. A handfasting ceremony took place among rows of lavender, framed by simple floral vases that echoed the violet tones of the landscape. Champagne and macarons waited on a picnic blanket as the sun dropped over the Vaucluse hills, washing everything in soft gold. Mariage Parisien curated a timeline that left space for quiet pauses - no rush, just the natural rhythm of the countryside. Every detail felt personal and light, from Liza’s simple bouquet to the linen ribbons binding their hands, a gesture that symbolized their shared promise and patience.
