An Intimate Grey and Blush Wedding at Château Grimaldi near Nice

In the heart of Provence, Kristen and her groom welcomed guests from across the world to celebrate their marriage at Château Grimaldi, a historic wedding estate near Nice. Built among the ruins of a 16th-century castle once owned by the Archbishops of Puyricard, the venue offered both heritage and warmth stone walls, open gardens and a small chapel where the ceremony took place. The couple, from Texas and Gabon, imagined a wedding that would bring together two families, two cultures and the timeless beauty of southern France. Every detail reflected their desire for connection and understated sophistication.

Neutral Design and Provençal Atmosphere

With backgrounds in fashion and event styling, Kristen took the lead in planning, creating a celebration that felt elegant yet relaxed. A grey and blush palette softened the rustic Provençal setting, echoing the tones of stone, wood and evening light. Local florists designed simple arrangements in neutral shades, while blush linens and natural tableware complemented the château’s garden ambience. A welcome pool party and a Gabonese rehearsal dinner the night before set a joyful tone. On the wedding day, guests gathered outdoors for dinner under string lights and shared speeches in both English and French, surrounded by the scent of lavender and summer air.

Photography, Family and the Essence of Provence

The weekend’s warmth and authenticity were captured by Boheme Moon, one of the creative wedding photographers in Provence known for her natural, emotive imagery. Her photographs detailed the flow of the day from bridal preparations to the chapel vows, the poolside laughter and the evening dance floor. Without a planner, the couple relied on the help of family and friends: an uncle officiated the ceremony, a cousin sang during cocktails and a close friend DJed the after-party. The result was a celebration rooted in Provence but shaped by love from around the world intimate, effortless and filled with personal meaning.
