A Countryside Wedding at Manoir de l’Etang near Antibes
Manoir de l’Etang, a beautiful 19th century manor house with beauty treatments near Antibes offered the perfect balance of charm and tranquility for a destination celebration in Provence. The couple college sweethearts who found their way back to each other chose this serene wedding hotel and restaurant on the French Riviera surrounded by olive trees and wild gardens to celebrate among family and friends. For the French bride, who grew up nearby, it felt like coming home. With soft tones, natural textures, and gentle refinement, the day captured the essence of Provençal living. Guided by Myrto Ripp Events, one of the South of France’s trusted wedding planners, the celebration unfolded effortlessly, every element reflecting warmth, intention, and timeless style.
From a Rainy Proposal in Bermuda to “I Do” in Provence
Their story began in Washington, DC, and carried them through continents and milestones before returning to Provence a place full of meaning for the bride and her family. The groom’s proposal on a rainy Bermuda beach, celebrated with champagne toasts from strangers, became a beautiful metaphor for their wedding design: spontaneous, heartfelt, and filled with light. Under Myrto Ripp Events’ direction, their vision came to life in a palette of sage and ivory, with florals that looked freshly gathered from the surrounding countryside. The ceremony took place beneath a towering, centuries-old tree no arch, no grand staging, just simple drapery and nature doing what it does best. It was both elegant and unpretentious, grounded in emotion and authenticity.
Candlelight, Laughter, and a Provençal Night to Remember
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the celebration continued poolside under a canopy of twinkle lights. Guests dined at long tables adorned with candles, hand-tied blooms, and softly textured linens that echoed the relaxed rhythm of Provence. The atmosphere was pure magic laughter, music, and the sound of glasses clinking against the hum of summer. A traditional croquembouche cake added a touch of sweetness to the night, its golden tones catching the candlelight. Captured by Anthony Perez, among the talented wedding photographers in the South of France, the imagery reflected every layer of the day soft light, genuine emotion, and the quiet joy of two people celebrating where it all began. The result was more than a wedding: it was a homecoming, written in love and Provençal light.
