A Floral-Filled Wedding Weekend at Château Rigaud in Bordeaux

Nicky and Stan’s wedding at Château Rigaud, a fully staffed, exclusive-use château in Bordeaux captured everything that defines a romantic celebration in the South West of France: rustic charm, fine wine, and a floral story that tied every space together. The couple hosted seventy-two guests for a four-day celebration, marrying exactly seven years after their first meeting. With its vineyards, stone walls, and courtyards framed by greenery, Château Rigaud in Bordeaux offered a private setting for ceremony and dinner alike. The design leaned toward natural textures and pastel tones, balancing tradition and playfulness across every table and terrace. From the first evening gathering to the last toast, the weekend felt both intentional and effortlessly warm.

Wedding Inspiration

Floral Romance and a Fairytale Gown

Bride Nicky wore a Sassi Holford gown that paired timeless structure with soft romantic detail. Stan’s classic attire and the arrival of a vintage car grounded the day in tradition while flowers brought lightness and colour to each scene. Flowers in the Vines, led by Heidi, filled the spaces with abundant arrangements that seemed to grow naturally from the setting arches, tables, and even the courtyard corners carried her signature organic movement. The ceremony and reception flowed easily between indoor and outdoor spaces, every turn revealing another layer of floral artistry under the golden Bordeaux light.

Captured in Light and Full of Heart

The weekend came together with the guidance of Sarah and Anna from the château’s in-house planning team, who shaped the flow from welcome dinner to farewell brunch. Photographer Chloé of Caught the Light, among the top wedding photographers in Bordeaux, documented each moment with luminous precision and understated emotion. Her imagery caught the quiet gestures, laughter over dinner, and the way flowers softened the historic stone of the estate. As the final evening closed, candles flickered along the terrace and the scent of the vines drifted through the air - a fitting end to a celebration rooted in love, craft, and place.
