Parisian Wedding Escape at Chateau de Ferrieres

Mathieu and Mumu chose Château de Ferrières after a year of searching, setting their summer 2023 date on the groom’s birthday. Morning preparations unfolded in separate rooms, with the bride alongside her mother and bridesmaids and the groom sharing a quiet moment with Miso. Their first look on the garden stairs felt private and unhurried as soft light touched the stone. Château de Ferrières, a grand estate 30 minutes from Paris with formal gardens and ornate salons, gathered the day’s stages in one place. After portraits, the couple took a brief ride in a retro Ford around the grounds before guests settled for the ceremony.

Getting Ready

Groom fastening blue stone cufflinks wearing navy suit with bow tie and green boutonniere
Bride seated putting on white bow-detail heels wearing lace-sleeve ball gown in chateau room with botanical panels
Three attendants in blue and lavender dresses helping bride into lace gown in chinoiserie room
Groom in navy tuxedo seated in gold Louis XVI chair with Pomeranian dog on checkerboard marble floor

Weather shifted plans, moving the ceremony indoors without losing atmosphere. Guests found seats beneath high ceilings while rain tapped at windows and music marked the procession. The bride’s dress read clearly against pale walls, and Miso carried the rings, drawing smiles and easing nerves. Clear sightlines kept attention on vows, then a short pause allowed family embraces and a final sweep of portraits in the corridors. The location near Paris helped timing stay intact, with suppliers and guests adjusting quickly. The layout of this exceptional wedding setting in the Ile de France region  kept transitions short from aisle to group photos, then onward to aperitifs as the weather cleared.

The bride is seated on the floor leaning against a navy blue velvet armchair, wearing a white gown with a sheer lace long-sleeve bodice and a voluminous silk skirt with a short train, paired with white heeled shoes adorned with lace or floral detailing. She holds a loosely arranged bouquet of ivory peonies, pale blue delphinium, white wildflowers, and eucalyptus tied with a dusty blue silk ribbon. Her dark hair is pulled back into a low bun, and she wears small drop earrings. The image is shot in a medium portrait format with soft, natural window light and a classic, polished interior styling.

Bridal Party

A bridal party portrait taken indoors, showing four women seated together on a navy velvet bench in a classically decorated room with white boiserie paneling and large chinoiserie-style mural panels depicting trees, botanicals, and birds in soft blue-green, coral, and cream tones. The bride sits third from the left wearing a full-ballgown skirt in white with a lace illusion high-neck long-sleeved bodice, her hair in an updo. Two bridesmaids wear periwinkle-blue satin dresses — one in a cowl-neck slip style and one in a short-sleeve wrap style — while a fourth woman, likely the mother of the bride, wears a short lilac lace dress with ruffle cap sleeves. The women are engaged in relaxed conversation, smiling at one another. The overall palette of the group — white, periwinkle, and lilac — coordinates with the cool blue tones of the mural backdrop. This is a wide portrait shot with a classic, polished indoor styling approach.
